The Japanese Gardens in Tramore is transformed every year into one of Ireland's most magical winter light christmas experiences. ENERGY POLICY: We have made investments into making our event as energy efficient as possible all our lights are low voltage LED complimented by large sections of Battery Lighting.
Bookings available Thursday to Sunday Nights early December with additional nights added Christmas Week (see calendar for dates and time slots) from 4.30pm to 7.30pm (LAST ENTRY IN - 7.30pm). Gates Close 8.30pm.
PARKING ADVISORY NOTE: Please note Pond Road will be very busy and parking may not always be available. It is advisable to Park in and around Tramore Town Centre, or in local Town Carparks and walk to the Japanese Gardens on Pond Road for your visit. Outside the Gardens on POND ROAD will generally can become conjested with Traffic and will have little or no parking. We would appreciate it if the spaces on Pond Road were left to those less mobile. PARKING around Tramore Town Centre and on the Roads leading down to Pond Road is FREE.
Please wear warm clothing and rainwear in case of wet weather. Also comfortable shoes.
*ACCESSIBILITY WHEELCHAIRS AND BUGGIES.The majority of the Winter Lights can be accessed or viewed from viewing points by those using buggies or wheelchairs. Unfortunately our new woodland path section will not be accessible to buggies or wheelchairs. Buggies will need to be parked at the bridge and small children carried or walked to this small additional area. We hope that Wheelchair users can enjoy the Magic of the gardens in other areas which will have some features similar to the unaccessible Woodland Path, there will be some beautiful viewing points over the gardens and lights for those who cannot access steeper slopes.
You need to arrive to the Pond Road Entrance within the duration of your 15 minute Time Slot otherwise your ticket could be deemed invalid. Your allocated time in the gardens to enjoy the Winter Light experience is approx 60-75 mins from your arrival time. Directional signs will be there to guide you to the Ticketing Check Point. Please follow the One Way System and Health and Safety Guidelines in the gardens. Children must stay within their family groups and be supervised at all times during their visit as there is water in the gardens. Due to health and safety climbing on rocks, trees and running towards water is not allowed. Unfortunately Only Guide and Service dogs are allowed into the garden areas.
We want your visit to be a happy and safe experience, visitors are urged to wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for an outdoor venue. Safety measures and soft lighting are in place but it is the responsibility of each individual to mind their footing while walking along the designated paths and slopes and to keep children close to adults at all times. This event will go ahead on evenings when raining unless weather is extreme or is issued with a weather warning.
Once ticket is purchased it is not possible to change your time slot or date or obtain a refund after payment has gone through. However your ticket is transferrable to another person or persons and should be used at the time slot and date purchased for. Alternatively if unused, your ticket can be used for normal entry into the garden or garden events in 2024.
