This is the Annual Fundraiser Concert for the Lafcadio Hearn Japanese Gardens Tramore with Yasuko Naka, Japanese Musician and Singer supported by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Trá Mhór.
Enjoy an evening (6pm to approx 8pm ) with Japanese Musician/Singer supported by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Trá Mhór.
Yasuko Naka is a professional performer of traditional Irish music and made her debut from a major label in Japan in 2007. She has published four CDs and a songbook that feature Irish traditional songs and has given several live shows every year. She has expanded her performances and activities in public events including St. Patrick’s events in Japan as well as in receptions hosted by the Irish Embassy in Japan. She has sung national anthems of both Japan and Ireland in those events.
Naka has shown enthusiasm in improving her skills of cultural understanding and traditional Irish singing by visiting Ireland and receiving lessons from local Irish singing tutors. She has expanded the list of songs that she can sing in Gaelic language as the result of these tuitions in Ireland.
Naka started her entertainment performance career at Takarazuka Revue, a Japanese professional musical performance group, in 1983. She is a member of Japan Celtic society, and a member of Shamrock Ladies Society of Japan.
This will be an evening of Irish Traditional and Japanese Music and the Gardens are delighted to welcome members of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Trá Mhór who will play in support to Yasuko Naka.
ENTRY TO THE JAPANESE GARDENS IS INCLUDED IN YOUR TICKET (which is normally priced at €7 per adult), If coming to visit the gardens please arrive at least 1 hour before Concert. (If coming to CONCERT ONLY, please arrive before 5.45pm). Seating will be available for pre booked ticket holders.
CONCERT STARTS AT 6pm and will run until approx 8pm. Gardens will close after Concert, but visitors to the Concert and Tramore are advised there will also be a Monster Firework display in Tramore later that night and
will take place near Tramore Amusement Park, should they wish to extend their evening in Tramore.
This is an Outdoor Event, please wear clothes appropriate for Weather. Warm Clothes and comfortable shoes.
Tickets cannot be refunded after purchase but are transferable to someone else. The Gardens reserve to right to Cancel this event in the case of extreme bad weather or techinical issues, in which case all monies will be refunded.
